Clients See Project Status Every Morning, Without Asking

B2L is a product studio that ships briefs to live products. Elevon built a suite that reads each project's Jira board and generates a clean, one-page client status report every day, so clients always know what is done, what is invoiced, and what is running.

    The Challenge

    The Challenge

A studio that promises a live product fast lives in its Jira board: milestones, issues, statuses, dates, what is done and what is next. But clients do not want to read a Jira board. They want a clear answer to three questions: what is finished, what are we paying for, and what is happening now.

Bridging the two is manual work. Someone on the team opens the board, works out which milestone closed, what shipped inside it, whether it is ready to invoice, and what the next milestone is, then rewrites all of that into a readable update for each client. Across several active projects, that is a recurring drain, and the update is only as fresh as the last time someone had time to write it.

The studio needed client reporting that is always current, consistent across projects, and does not cost the team an afternoon every week.

    Why Elevon

    Why Elevon

    01

    Reads the Jira board directly

The suite connects to the project's Jira board and reads milestones, issues, statuses and dates at the source. No copy-pasting, no separate tracker to keep in sync.

    02

    Writes the client-facing story

An AI agent turns raw board data into a readable report: the last closed milestone and what shipped, the milestone in progress with a scope checklist, and the upcoming ones. Plain language, not ticket IDs.

    03

    Billing status, made obvious

The report tracks what is delivered, accepted and ready to invoice, with a clear banner when a milestone moves to billing. Clients see exactly what they are paying for, when.

Clients used to ask where things stood. Now they already know, the report is in their inbox before they ask.

    03
    The Rollout

    The Rollout

The suite runs on a daily schedule. It reads the project's Jira board, classifies milestones into done, in progress and upcoming, and works out billing state from issue statuses. An AI agent writes each section, a renderer assembles a single branded HTML page, and the result is delivered by share link and webhook.

The same suite works for any project: point it at a different board and it produces the same clean report, so reporting stays consistent across the whole studio.

What this looks like in practice

Each morning the suite runs. The client opens a link and sees: the last milestone closed and everything that shipped in it, a banner showing it is ready to invoice, the milestone now in progress with a checklist and a progress bar, and the milestones queued next. The studio did not write a word of it.

How we estimate: removing manual board-reading and write-ups across active projects frees recurring team time and keeps every client current without anyone remembering to send an update. Replace with the studio's real project count to finalize.

It is the same view we have in Jira, just written the way a client wants to read it, and it is never out of date.

    Why It Worked

    Why It Worked

Client reporting usually loses to delivery work. When the team is busy shipping, the update is the first thing to slip, and a stale status report erodes trust faster than a slow milestone does.

The Elevon suite removed the trade-off by reading the one source the team already keeps accurate, the Jira board, and turning it into the client view automatically. Because the data is read at the source and the writing is done by an agent, the report is always current and always consistent, without competing for the team's time.

Pointing the same suite at any project's board means the studio scales reporting with zero extra effort per client. The team keeps doing what it does, ship, and clients stay informed as a by-product.
